Riverbend Behavioral Health now accepts many Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon plans through our partnership with Headway.

The comprehensive psychiatric consultation focuses on understanding your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, and treatment goals. During this visit, we will review your current symptoms, past treatments, medications, lifestyle factors, and any relevant medical history. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, behavioral strategies, or other supportive recommendations when clinically appropriate. Additionally, we offer telehealth services to ensure you receive care conveniently. This package includes a follow-up visit within two weeks to assess your response to treatment and make any necessary adjustments to the care plan. In some cases, additional information or records may be requested to support safe and appropriate treatment.

Follow-up visits focus on monitoring symptoms, reviewing treatment progress, and adjusting medications as needed, which is a key aspect of effective medication management. Once treatment is stable, most patients are seen approximately every 12 weeks, though the frequency of follow-ups is individualized based on clinical needs. Additionally, for those utilizing telehealth services, psychiatric consultation can also be arranged to ensure ongoing support and management.

Riverbend Behavioral Health offers both insurance-based and self-pay appointment options.

Many Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon plans are accepted through our partnership with Headway.

Patients using insurance can verify their benefits and schedule appointments through Headway's secure platform.

For patients who prefer not to use insurance, self-pay appointments remain available through Riverbend Behavioral Health. Payment is due at the time of service.

If you are unsure whether your insurance is accepted, we encourage you to verify your coverage before scheduling. Self-pay options are available for patients who wish to maintain greater privacy or whose insurance is not currently accepted.

All appointments are conducted securely via telehealth, allowing convenient access to care from anywhere in Arizona.       

Appointments for psychiatric consultation and medication management are reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, at least 24 hours’ notice is required. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged $75.
